Application
for donation for the Hajji Muntazul Haque Memorial Fund.
The
key objective of forming this fund and initiating this award
is to support the development of the sports and folk-culture
in the local level and to promote the journalists working in
the northern region of the country through awarding them for
their contribution in this sector. This fund will be
utilized to provide financial support to the efficient but
poor sportsmen and cultural artistes of the northern region
for their training of higher level. In addition, two
journalists will be awarded every year for their magnificent
contribution to promote sports and folk-culture through
preparing reports and wide media coverage.
For
your kind information, we would like to inform you that
young Late Hajji Muntajul Haque sacrificed his life working
in service of other pilgrims in the holy city Makka. He was
one of the martyrs who breathed last in deadly hotel
collapse in Makkah on 05 February 2006. Up to his last
breath, on behalf of Hajj Kafela, he was engaged in serving
the Bangladeshi pilgrims. He was the younger brother of G M
Mourtoza, Director of CCD Bangladesh. Late Hajji Muntajul
Haque was a versatile genius. He was a renowned football
player, sports and cultural organiser in northern region of
Bangladesh as well as devoted activist of Tablig Jamaat. He
worked devotedly in preaching Islamic Dawat till the last
moment of his life. On
behalf of the family of late Hajji Muntazul Hoque, a total
of Taka 20,000 has already been donated to this fund to
achieve the goals and objectives of this fund to develop
sports and folk culture in the local level and to support
the journalist’s award. On
behalf of Late Hajji Muntazul Haque’ s family we would
like to request you to provide some financial donation for
this Memorial Fund. We would be highly grateful if kindly
come forward to assist us in this regards. Your donation
will be much helpful to form this fund and to ensure
