of Rajshahi Enthralled Dhaka by Folk Culture

International
Youth Summit ended successfully through enthusiasm and
joy of cultural functions performed by the young stars
of different countries in Dhaka. Young and talented
artistes of CCD Bangladesh enchanted the closing
ceremony of the summit. The young audience coming from
different countries enjoyed the melodious tune of the
Bengali folk songs there.
Under
the Connecting Futures Project of British Council,
Democracywatch arranged this Beyond Border International
Youth Summit second time in Dhaka. The advanced young
people of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Srilanka and
England gathered the summit and they not only exchanged
their knowledge, insights, learning and experience, they
also built up a friendship and understanding among
themselves. Different interesting functions produced by
the young artistes were staged in the summit held at the
premises of British Council in Dhaka.
In
the closing ceremony of the summit an enchanting folk
cultural function was held. Artistes of the Youth Voice,
the cultural wing of CCD Bangladesh and Youth Voice
Organizer Moshiur Rahman Rinku rendered the folk
cultural function. Members of Youth Voice including
Rinku, Polash, Mamun, Shuchi, Shabab, Joy, Monika and
Sohely presented folk songs including Vaowaya, Hason,
Lalon, Vatiali songs. Then the members of Youth Voice
and vocal of Convert band Ehsan Manik sang Hindi,
English, Urdu and Bengali songs. The full audience of
the auditorium including home and foreign guests enjoyed
the whole function
