Women’s
Empowerment Network [WEN]
Welcoming
Women to WEN
The
time has come for women to celebrate and become
empowered through the launch of the Women’s
Empowerment Network (WEN). Two volunteers, Laura Bos of
AusAID and Molly Dalessandro of Peace Corp, have
initiated this network with the support of CCD
Bangladesh.
What
is WEN?
WEN
is a network where women can gain empowerment through
increased knowledge, sharing and exploration of issues
that are affecting them and their futures, in a space of
acceptance and belonging amongst peers.
The
network is not only a safe place for women to talk about
issues that are important to them, it is also a place
where women can laugh, enjoy, and celebrate womanhood!
Why
WEN?
The
founders believe that women need a place where they can
discuss their problems openly instead of suffering alone
and in isolation. They believe that support and open
communication amongst women is the only way for women to
progress towards greater independence and equality.
When
oh When will WEN begin?
The
first phase of the network will begin in February and
continue for 13 weeks.
Where
is WEN?
WEN
will be held in a private seminar room below CCD
Bangladesh’s office.
Who
can be part of WEN?
Women
between the ages of 18 and 25 who are interested in
joining WEN should apply formally to CCD Bangladesh immediately.

you are interested in WEN or if you have any further
