Service club members have been urged to play pioneering and effective role in establishing good governance and in preventing all forms of unjust and corruption in Bangladesh.
Speakers called upon this in the closing and certificate giving ceremony of the orientation course for the representatives of the service clubs held in Rajshahi on Sunday. With the support of USAID and The Asia Foundation, Democracywatch organized this orientation under Leaders of Influence (LoI) program. Knowledge centre CCD Bangladesh locally supported in arranging this orientation course.
Deputy Chief of Party of the Leaders of Influence (LoI) Program of The Asia Foundation Dr Nazrul Islam attended the orientation as chief guest. Program Manager of Democracywatch Minhaj Alam and media personality G M Mourtoza presented welcome address in the orientation held at the conference room of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI).
This orientation course was held with the participation of the leaders and members from different service clubs working in Rajshahi including Rotary Club, Lions Club, Apex Club, BNCC and Bangladesh Red Crescent Society. A total of 50 delegates participated in the daylong orientation course. In the closing ceremony, certificates were handed over to the participants.
