Complementing this sentiment, hear Zakiya Sultana Kornia 30 July at 9 p.m. liven up the digital stage

WOW Virtual Bangladesh is a celebration of women who overcame extraordinary trials and through inspiration, paved the path for others to shine.

Complementing this sentiment, hear Zakiya Sultana Kornia this Friday, 30 July at 9 p.m. liven up the digital stage through her rendition of ‘Joy Hok’, composed by Bangladesh’s national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, which powerfully describes about peace, freedom and humanity for all. Kornia is a well-known Nazrul Geeti singer and has become a popular face in the music scene through the Power Voice music hunting competition.

WOW Virtual Bangladesh is a free online festival open for all, and aims to celebrate women’s voices across the country. It is brought to you by the British Council, with support from strategic partners #CCD_Bangladesh and Mongol Deep Foundation. Jude Kelly CBE, CEO and Founder of The WOW Foundation launched WOW in 2010 when she was Artistic Director of Southbank Centre in London.
