WOW Bangladesh’s One-on-One aims to have leading women from two different industries share their personal experiences

With the changing times, more and more women leaders are emerging every day. But even now, the journey of these women leaders are not without obstacles. On a daily basis, they tackle gender stereotype, gender biasness while working twice as hard to make their mark on a male-dominant society.
WOW Bangladesh’s One-on-One aims to have leading women from two different industries share their personal experiences of struggles and compromises they faced during their journey to success.

For this session of One-to-One, our guests are, Sonia Bashir Kabir (Founder of SBK Tech Ventures and SBK Foundation), former Managing Director for Microsoft Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan and Laos, and Country Director of Dell Bangladesh. She is also the Vice-Chairman of UN Technology Bank. The first woman to win the ICT Business Person of the Year Award from the Daily Star ICT Awards in 2019, she was one of the 10 recipients of Microsoft Founder’s Award in 2016 given by Bill Gates.

Sara Zaker (Co-chairperson of Asiatic 3sixty, member secretary and trustee of Liberation War Museum, as well as the founding chairperson of Mongol Deep Foundation), holds in her name a number of awards and recognitions, including Ekushey Padak in 2017 for contribution in the cultural sector. She worked with UNICEF, Save the Children, World Health Organisation (WHO), and many others, leading campaigns and projects related to male and female rights, health, family planning, and environmental issues.
